Dear shippers,

With reference to our October 2 newsletter, we are pleased to inform you that the parties in the US East Coast and Gulf Coast port labor strike have agreed to resume operations while negotiations continue over the next 90 days. According to the carriers, the announced surcharges will be suspended for the time being. However, additional costs may still be incurred as a result of the impact of the strike. These costs will be invoiced pro rata at destination, as already communicated. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact your local SACO office.
